The Funding and Financing Product Catalog website (Funding Website) was developed with funding from the California Energy Commissions (CEC) EPIC grant funding request (GFO) 15-312, The EPIC Challenge: Accelerating the Deployment of Advanced Energy Communities project. The Local Government Commission (LGC) is the prime contractor for the EPIC grant, and the Funding Website was developed by Tierra Resource Consultants and Sound Data Management as subcontractors to the LGC.

The Funding Website is an open source project that includes two primary components:

  1. a database of existing funding and financing products (‘Products’) that can be used to implement sustainability projects in all market sectors, and
  2. a user query function that provides website users with the ability to generate a list of Products based on a limited set of inputs that define their new building construction, rehabilitation, and retrofit projects.

The database underlying this version of the Funding Website includes Products offered at the Federal, California state, San Joaquin Valley, and Fresno county and city levels. This effort constitutes a ‘beta’ design such that the site will remain active through March of 2018. At that time, a decision will be made by parties under contract to GFO 15-312 about the continuation, further development of functionality, and long-term maintenance of the Funding Product Catalog website.

The number of Products available, characteristics, application, and availability of all Products is constantly changing. Although data in the Funding Website have undergone substantial editing and review prior to posting, errors or inaccuracies may still exist. Thus, this data should be regarded as provisional since subsequent reviews may result in significant revisions to the data. No warranty expressed or implied is made regarding the accuracy or utility of the data for general or specific purposes or applications, nor shall the act of distribution constitute any such warranty. This disclaimer applies both to individual use of the data and aggregate use of the data.

The parties who developed the Funding Website shall not be held liable for improper or incorrect use of the data retrieved from the Funding and Financing Product Catalog. It is also strongly recommended that information on specific Products be directly acquired from the sources provided, and not indirectly through other sources which may have changed the data in some way.

Publications based on the Funding Website should acknowledge the efforts of the CEC and Prime and Subcontractors to the EPIC Challenge: Accelerating the Deployment of Advanced Energy Communities project. The point of contact might also appreciate receiving a reprint or photocopy of any such publication at the time it is published.

Information concerning the accuracy and appropriate uses of these data and Products may be obtained from Local Government Commission at info@lgc.org or Tierra Resource Consultants at funding@tierrarc.com.
