Description

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program (SWEEP) uses Greenhouse Gas Reduction Funds to provide agricultural operations with a total of $4.5 million, with individual awards up to $100,000, for the installation of irrigation systems that reduce water usage and greenhouse gas emissions. This works to save water and energy on California agricultural operations. In the two rounds of awards in 2016, SWEEP provided approximately 45 agricultural operations in Fresno County with funding.
