Description

The SCG Transformative Climate Communities Program is proposing to invest a total of $70 million of cap and trade monies into Fresno as part of an effort to reduce greenhouse gases in disadvantaged communities. It will provide nonprofits, public agencies, community development finance institutions, and/or community development corporations with funds for large infrastructure projects that will preferably incorporate regional transit, housing, renewable energy, water efficiency, urban greening, and workforce development elements. This program is designed to forge community-led visions and solutions for sustainable, climate resilient neighborhoods.
