Description

 

California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP) uses Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund monies to support the improvement and modernization of public transportations systems. The projects are to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by enhancing public transportation ridership and capacity. It awarded a total of $390 million in 2016 with individual awards of up to $14 million to public infrastructure rehabilitation and retrofit projects that improve transportation, 25% of which were designated for disadvantaged communities.
